Maa Tara Sweets Platform
The Problem
Traditional single-database e-commerce architectures mix admin and customer data, creating security risks and making it difficult to scale the admin and customer-facing systems independently.
The Solution
Architected a production-grade platform with two fully isolated Prisma MySQL databases — one for admin operations and one for application data — connected via a TypeScript Express backend with JWT auth, Redis caching, and a modular domain-driven API structure.
My Role
Sole architect and developer — designed the multi-database schema, built the full backend from scratch, implemented auth flows, and structured the entire codebase for future scalability.
Key Highlights
  • Two isolated Prisma schemas (Admin DB + App DB) for security and scalability
  • JWT + cookie-based auth with role-based access control
  • Redis caching layer for high-frequency catalog and session reads
  • Domain-driven modular backend: Auth, Orders, Catalog, Reviews, Settings modules
